Aaron Dawson
Carmel Country Club General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Aaron Dawson possesses more than a quarter of a century of exemplary leadership experience in the hospitality, private club management and restaurant industries.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dawson started his career in restaurants with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Morton’s Steakhouse and the Brio/Bravo Group. Dawson credits his time in restaurant management for instilling a passion for hospitality and learning in him. He transitioned into the private club industry in 2005 and has served as the General Manager of Bentwater Yacht & Country Club, Chenal Country Club, Miramont Country Club and now Carmel Country Club.
Dawson is deeply committed to professional development and is a certified Birkman Personality consultant. He has a passion for creating a culture where our team members can become the best versions of themselves; a precursor to creating an excellent experience for our members. He has served as President of the CMAA Texas Chapter, on the Board of Trustees of Allen Academy and is currently on the CMAA Carolinas Chapter Board. Dawson and his wife, Nikki, have two wonderful daughters, Olivia & Maddie.
Dr. Derree Braswell
Dr. Derree L. Braswell is a multifaceted, international leader with a wealth of experience. Her roles span across various sectors that include: retail, education, talent management, and non-profit agencies. With such an expansive professional journey, Dr. Braswell has carved a one-of-a-kind career path, empowering individuals across diverse practices and is regarded as a leader in the Learning & Development community. Derree has served in various roles during her career, a School Principal, the Senior Director of Learning & Development for a Regional Retail Grocery Chain, owner of a retail Floral Shop and most recently as Global VP Talent Management of the Adecco Group. At the Adecco Group for nearly a decade, Dr. Braswell built a solid foundation and honed her expertise in cultivating talent on a global scale. Her international facilitation skills coupled with certifications in methodologies such as The Birkman Methodology, Crucial Conversations, EQi 2.0 (Emotional Intelligence), Bob Pike Train the Trainer, and Bob Pike Instructional Design, underscore her commitment to transformative leadership development. She is the recipient of the Florida Diversity Council’s “Most Influential and Powerful Women” Award, the “Multi-Cultural Leadership” Award and served as the 2010 President of the NE Florida Chapter of Association of Talent Development.
