The brilliance of connecting The Birkman Method with Applied Improvisation is that it gives us a platform to “experiment” with personality, perception and preferences – unlocking what it truly means to both connect and contribute. Through insight, perspective and humor, we’ll look at how we express our individuality through the lens of improvisation.
This is a highly interactive session designed to merge personality science with the art of thinking differently. Session participants will not only have the luxury of a personal development experience for themselves, but will also leave with tools to use in business and in Birkman coaching conversations and group engagements.
Applied Improvisation is a unique platform best described as follows: It is the use of principles and techniques found in improvisational theater, which are then applied to other disciplines (non-theater settings) in order to enhance the effectiveness of individuals, teams and organizations.
Stacey Mason is a Master Certified Birkman Consultant, a seasoned Executive Coach, a thought-leadership columnist for several B2B publications and the founder of The Improv Lab. The Improv Lab – using insight, perspective and humor – serves as the leading voice in the conversation of merging the business of art with the art of business. She co-founded comedy improv troupes Sidebar and Sock Monkey, and has trained with various actor-teams including the Kansas City Improv Company, Jimmy Carrane of Improv Nerd, and Second City in Chicago.
